Scrambled eggs on wholegrain toast with a small glass of fortified orange juice or a calcium-fortified milk.
Natural yoghurt with a drizzle of honey and a few walnuts.
Vegetable and bean soup with a warm wholegrain roll, or a soft salmon and cucumber sandwich on wholegrain bread.
A small portion of stewed fruit with a tablespoon of natural yoghurt.
Baked white fish or chicken casserole with soft-cooked vegetables, mashed sweet potato, and a small side salad.
📝 Important Notes
Protein needs may increase with age to help maintain muscle mass — include a protein source at each meal. Calcium and vitamin D are important for bone health. Stay well hydrated — the sense of thirst may diminish with age. Soft textures may be easier to manage if dental or swallowing concerns are present.
